Attendees: Joyce Wright, Brian Parks, Linda Holmes, Ron Taylor, Rafael Salazar, Ramon Martinez

Agenda:
  1. Board Changes & Committee Changes

Meeting commenced discussing a new President of the Alamo Chapter as Joyce Wright has tendered her resignation effective December 31, 2006.

Brian Parks volunteered to assume the President role effective January 1, 2007.

Ron Taylor volunteered to assume the VP role effective January 1, 2007.

Joyce also recommended selecting a new Secretary as Carolyn’s work time has increased.

Rafael volunteered to assume the Secretary role.

Treasurer: No changes.

Membership Committee: No Changes

Web Master: No changes

All present approved the motions

To Establish Professional Development Program: Ron will assume responsibility to establish committee to include a committee lead and members.

To Establish Financial Structure: Betty to establish Chapter Budget structure. Contact Darma at UMUC.

To Establish Military Presence: See Action Below for Rafael.

To Create Schedule of Events: All on target.

To Establish Community Affairs Program: Pending volunteer.

Roll the Social committee under the Community Affairs committee.

5. Reviewed "Stay Connected" forms collected from the summer social and sorted by potential committee's.

Action Items:

Joyce:

  1. Notify Carolyn of Secretary position change.
  2. Notify Sean to assist Ron with Professional Development.
  3. Contact Marylyn Berrier to determine if she is interested in Community Affairs committee.
  4. Send minutes of last meeting to Rocky to post.
  5. Resignation effective Dec 31.

Rafael:

Contact Ernest Thomas and Ron Washington to see if they are interested in assuming the lead role with the Military Affairs committee.

Rocky:

  1. Update website with Board Photo’s from the Holiday party
  2. Modify the text below “UMUC LONESTAR CHAPTER HOLIDAY GET-TOGETHER” to separate the working session and holiday party.
  3. Update the following website to say “Lonestar Chapter” http://www.umucalumni.org/chapter.html#2
  4. Turn off Google Index for privacy of BoD

Ron:

Assume responsibility to establish Pro D. committee to include a committee lead and members.

Brian:

  1. Contact Michelle at UMUC to create Chapter PO Box
  2. Distribute minutes and revised strategic plan

Betty:

Establish non-profit organization budget structure

Sean:

Provide BoD with Holiday Party status.

Breakfast Recipe:

Parks Family Egg Dish:
1 lb cooked sausage
2 ¼ cub milk
1 can cream of chicken soup
½ to ¾ lb of cheddar cheese and/or blended cheeses
10 pieces of bread cut in cubes
Garlic salt, Pepper, Italian seasoning to taste

Mix all together. Refrigerate overnight in greased 13 x 9 pan. Bake 1 hour at 325 uncovered.
