August 17, 2006 Minutes - Lonestar Chapter

A. Holiday Get together

• Will be held December 7, 2006
• Location to be decided
• Sean Habina will work with UMUC on event planning
• Rocky Martinez, please put notice of holiday party on website
• We will have a guest from UMUC as a speaker

B. Committees

• Working session to be held at Brian Parks’s home Saturday morning October 7, from 9Am to 11AM. E-mail will be sent with directions, time, etc.
• Expectations are the head of each committee will report with an action plan on how they will achieve goals in strategic plan.
• Committee heads can use the Count-Me-In cards that were completed at the Lonestar gala to add members to their committees.
• Strategic plan will then be updated by secretary of chapter.

C. Questions

• Ask Dharma who local representative is in San Antonio? This was mentioned at the Lonestar Gala.
• Who has the Count-Me-In cards, Linda Holmes?
• Will UMUC send out monthly notices for our meetings?
• Discuss potential sites for monthly meetings. Suggestions are to have the meetings closer to I10 and 1604.
