Ramon Martinez - Membership Committee Chair
Ramon is a proven and aggressive individual with over 25 years of progressive experience in operating, supervising, training, and managing computer operations, Telecommunication Center operations, COMSEC Accounts, circuit management offices, performing systems testand evaluation, and managing human resources. Ramon is highly dependable and self-motivated.
Ramon has been employed with SAIC for seven years. He works as a contractor with the Tri-Service Management Program Office (TIMPO) at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. He is a network technician and QA manager with the Circuit Management Team. His team supports over 600 Military Treatment Facilities in the United States and overseas.
Ramon was born in Piedras Negras, Mexico and on May 1976 he received his United States citizenship and enlisted in the U.S. Army after completing Burbank High School in San Antonio, Texas. In the Army, Ramon trained as a telecommunication specialist at Fort Gordon, Georgia. He served in many communication, data processing, and security assignments in the U.S. and overseas, including a tour with a NATO mobile communication squadron in the Netherlands, a tour in Saudi Arabia and three assignments in Germany (Berlin, Worms, Stuttgart). During one tour in Fort Sam Houston, Ramon was "Information Systems Command Noncommissioned Officer of the Year" for Fort Sam Houston and was selected for the presidential inauguration committee.
Ramon's last assignment was at Defense Information Systems Agency in Europe at Stuttgart, Germany where he also completed a Bachelor Degree with the University of Maryland - European Division. Ramon's wife is Jeannette Everett from Berlin, Germany. They have two children attending MacArthur High School in San Antonio (Raquel, 16 and David, 14). All four are active with the JROTC. Ramon is pursuing his Masters Degree with Webster University in computer resources information and management leadership.
