Carolyn Coleman - Secretary

Carolyn Coleman is currently an IRU claims service manager in Central Region.

Carolyn holds a Bachelor's Degree in business management from the University of Maryland University College. In the P&C Insurance industry, she has attained the Associates in Claims (AIC) designation. She is also recognized as a qualified administrator of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). She is currently pursuing an MBA from Incarnate Word University.

Carolyn feels she was destined to work at USAA due to her extensive military affiliation. She was born an "Army brat" on Ft. Bragg Army post in North Carolina. Her father is a retired Army sergeant major. Her husband is active-duty Air Force. Her brother is an active-duty Army officer and her sister is an active-duty Navy officer.

Carolyn shares her life with her husband, Rodney, and their daughter, Porsha. In her leisure time she enjoys bike riding with her husband and daughter and writing original poetry. She is also a volunteer in the USAA Mentoring Program - which she considers to be a great stress alleviator.

Carolyn Coleman graduated from UMUC in 1992, while she and her husband were stationed at Rhein Main AFB, Germany.

In August 1993, she and her family returned to the states, stationed at Kelly AFB, San Antonio, TX.

She begin her employment with USAA in November 1993 and currently is a Claims Service Manager with the company.

Carolyn is pursuing her MBA from Incarnate Word University. She and her husband have an 18-year-old daughter who just graduated high school and plans to attend college in the fall. Her family also owns a 2 year old dog named Carmel.

In her leisure time, Carolyn enjoys reading, writing poetry, painting, and speed walking with her husband.
