Brian Parks - Vice President

Brian joined USAA in February 2003 as a Project Manager with the ITCO Professional Services Team. His experience includes 11 years managing Programs & Projects for commercial and Department of Defense (DoD) clients.

Prior to joining the USAA team, Brian worked for Electronic Data Systems (EDS) where his responsibilities included: Senior consultant with the Military Healthcare Systems (MHS) initiating and developing key U.S. Government, commercial, and vendor alliance partnership; Structure and manage software development technical and cost proposal teams responding to a variety of multi-million dollar Requests for Proposal (RFP). Managed over 200 hours of curriculum for Program and Project Management training, including strategic planning, architecture planning, definition and maintenance to provide a blended learning solution for approximately 30,000 global employees.

Brian's experience includes: 9 years active duty U.S. Army as a military police officer and with Army Recruiting Command, 3 years in Germany teaching High School with the Department of Defense Dependent Schools (DoDDS), and over 4 years with Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) as a program manager managing multiple software development projects for the U.S. Army Medical Command.

Brian graduated from the University of Maryland University College, European Division with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in business management. He supports the Alamo PMI Chapter as the 2002 director of professional development, the 2003 VP of programs and the 2004 chapter president.

As the project manager for the Software Process Improvement (SPI) program, Brian's primary focus has been on collaboration, continuously seeking improvement, establishing trust and providing exceptional customer service.

In May 2004, Brian accepted his current role as the PAS Property 5 IT technical manager.

Brian and his wife, Anne, live in Schertz, Texas.
