IMAN Chapter

The University of Maryland University College (UMUC) International Management (IMAN) Alumni Chapter was started in 1993 by students and alumni who wanted to use their mutual interest in international business and affairs to further develop their careers through networking and educational discussions. Open to all IMAN students and alumni, the Chapter organizes programs designed to benefit members professionally in their international careers, to increase awareness of the IMAN program within the business and academic community, and to facilitate networking among members.

Since its formation in 1993, the IMAN Chapter has consistently grown stronger in alumni involvement and enthusiasm. This success is credited to the organization's ability to deliver relevant, high quality programs and to promote them aggressively to meet the career development and networking needs of its members. To continue this momentum and build an even greater and more active alumni base, the Chapter is continuing to publicize, promote and increase its awareness among students, alumni, the business community, and other interest groups.

One of our most notable events has been the IMAN Embassy Series. The Embassy Series provides IMAN students and alumni with timely and important information not readily available in the classroom setting. The Embassy Series has significantly strengthened the Chapter by creating a professional environment in which students and alumni can participate in discussions related to world events and economics.
