As the UMUC Alumni Association marks the end of fiscal year 2007, we can look back with justifiable pride on a year filled with accomplishment and recognition.  Our accomplishments point to bold new directions for your Alumni Association.  In the days ahead, new goals and important challenges await us in our ongoing effort to support both the Alumni and the University.

This year, the Alumni Association:

  • Developed closer student relations and supported the University’s commitment to student success;
  • Conducted an alumni interest survey and responded with new programs and services that address our alumni’s specific needs and interests;
  • Redesigned the Alumni Association’s website and launched an Online Community that links alumni with each other for mentoring, career development, and university connections around the world;
  • Enhanced professional development and networking opportunities for alumni;
  • Broadened its base of support due to an increase in generous alumni donations to the Annual Fund;  and
  • Celebrated the launch of a new chapter – the Teachers Education Chapter.
