The University of Maryland University College (UMUC) Alumni Association, founded in 1990, fosters and perpetuates lifelong relationships between alumni and the university.  Its mission is to support, enhance, and promote University of Maryland University College (UMUC) and its community of students, faculty, staff and alumni worldwide.

Your Board of Directors and Executive Committee

The Board of Directors is the 30-member leadership body of the UMUC Alumni Association.  The Board is made up of alumni volunteers who are all exceptional examples of UMUC excellence, successfully representing the vast array of academic degrees available. 

All board members are elected for two-year terms and serve on a number of committees and task forces to help carry out specific objectives outlined in the Association’s strategic plan. The 2006-2007 Annual Report highlights this year's accomplishments of the UMUC Alumni Association.

The Executive Committee is the governing body, providing direction to the Office of Alumni Relations staff and helping to shape and influence the policies and direction of the Association. 

Each year the Executive Committee seeks nominations for its annual service awards. These awards are presented to individual alumni, faculty, staff, or friends who enrich the UMUC community through intellectual, social, cultural, and service contributions.
